Vibe Coder

We're looking for a Vibe Coder who builds with AI tools and isn't afraid to get into the code when a project requires it. You'll create agents on Agentplace, add custom functionality, and connect business tools through APIs.

The practical part of our hiring process is Agent Games: Main Street Edition, a free online hackathon running December 4–7, 2026. Instead of a separate take-home assignment, you'll have 72 hours to build an AI agent for a real local business.

About Agentplace

Agentplace is a platform for building AI agents that answer customer questions, book appointments, handle support, and deliver services online. More than 3,000 agents have been built on the platform, and we were named Product of the Week on Product Hunt.

We're a small, remote team. You'll build and test agents that businesses use to serve their customers.

What you'll do

• Build and publish business agents on Agentplace, from the initial prompt to the finished product.
• Add custom interfaces and functionality using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when needed.
• Connect APIs for calendars, payments, CRMs, inventory systems, and messaging services.
• Test and debug agents, checking for inaccurate pricing, confusing customer flows, and unsafe responses.
• Experiment with new approaches to building AI agents and share what you learn with the team.
• Turn your best projects into reusable templates.

Who you are

You build working projects with AI tools such as Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, or Claude Code. You can read and edit HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, work with REST APIs, and identify problems in user flows.

Your background might be in front-end development or building with Framer or Webflow. You could also be an indie hacker with live side projects or a junior engineer who takes initiative and enjoys turning ideas into working products.

You communicate fluently in English.

How selection works

1. Register by December 3 at 11:59 PM PT.
2. The hackathon kicks off on December 4 at 12:00 PM PT. Choose a real local business and build an AI agent for it on Agentplace. You can earn extra points by using features such as search, skills, connected agents, voice, and integrations.
3. Submit your agent by December 7 at 12:00 PM PT.
4. Winners will be announced on December 10. After that, our HR manager will also reach out to other participants whose work stands out to discuss potential interviews.

First prize is an iPad and an interview with our founders. Second prize is AirPods Pro. Additional awards include third place, best agent in each track, and most buzzworthy build. Agentplace credits are also part of the prize pool.

Terms

This is a remote contract position with flexible hours. Compensation starts at $2,500 per month, with the final rate determined during the interview. You're welcome to continue working with your own clients.

We can work with contractors worldwide, except in Russia and Belarus, where we're unable to process contractor payments.
