About this opportunity
**Hussh** · Kirkland, WA · Full-time
Reports to: Founder & CEO · Works daily with: Chief Investment Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, fund administrators, auditors
One Chief Financial Officer certifies every number at Hussh: a technology company and an asset manager with six flagship funds, an ETF, and permanent capital. Base salary $275,000–$375,000, a 30–50% target bonus, and a founding equity grant. If you have owned NAV, waterfalls, and LP reporting inside an asset manager — and closed audits without surprises — this seat was built for you.

## The company
Hussh is two businesses with one mission: make information — above all, private personal information — a real financial asset for the human it belongs to, with the human in control of every machine, always.
The technology company builds private personal AI. The asset-management company runs permanent capital across six flagship funds and an ETF, on one doctrine: own the world's fastest growers of absolute free cash flow. The capital architecture behind it — a $50M SAFE raise and the Fund A program — is being built now, to institutional standard, from day one.
A firm that asks the world to trust it with people's information must be beyond reproach with people's money. That standard has a name and a seat. This is it.
## The seat
You are the financial officer of both companies at once: a technology company and an asset manager with six funds, an ETF, and permanent capital. Fund finance and corporate finance are usually two careers. Here they are one desk — yours — until you build the bench beneath it: fund CFOs and controllers per vehicle, the way Carlyle staffs the seat at scale.
Nothing with a number on it reaches an investor, a regulator, or the founder unless you have certified it.
## The mandate
- **Own the financial truth.** Every entity — holding company, operating companies, management company, each fund, each SPV — with clean books, a close calendar that never slips, and an audit trail that is boring in the best way. Financial reporting is built here to be audited, not to survive one.
- **Run fund finance end to end.** NAV oversight across all six funds and the ETF; management-fee and performance-allocation calculations checked, not assumed; capital calls, distributions, and investor capital accounts executed precisely; waterfalls verified to the governing documents, every time.
- **Certify investor reporting.** Quarterly LP reporting, capital statements, and K-1 delivery that allocators' own accountants cannot fault. When an LP's finance team asks a hard question, your answer closes it.
- **Command the vendor bench.** Select and hold to account the fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, custodians, and banking partners. They work to your calendar and your standard.
- **Run treasury under written policy.** The firm's and the funds' cash — where it sits, what it earns, how it is protected, and the liquidity ladder that lets the CIO invest without ever forcing a sale. In a founder-funded company this cash is nearly family money. Treat it that way.
- **Own tax and regulatory finance.** Entity and fund tax strategy, filings, and the finance side of regulatory reporting (ADV, Form PF, ETF requirements) — executed with counsel and compliance, owned by you.
- **Architect the capital.** Partner with the founder on the SAFE program, Fund A, and every future vehicle: fee structures, carry, cap table, permanent-capital design. Walk any of them, in one meeting, without notes.
- **Build the function.** First hires in order: accounting, then fund finance, then FP&A and treasury operations. Hussh runs as a human leadership team amplified by an operating system of AI agents — you will encode the close, the checks, and the reporting cadence into systems that run daily, and hire the people who make those systems trustworthy.
- **Be the founder's finance partner.** Every Monday morning, the CEO knows exactly where the company stands — cash, commitments, fund flows, and what needs a decision — because you put it in front of him before he asked.
## What success looks like
**Year one:** every entity closes on schedule; the first full audit completes without a management-letter surprise; every LP report and K-1 lands on time; treasury runs on a written policy; the founder can recite the company's position from your one-page Monday summary.
**Year three:** the finance function is institutional infrastructure — a bench of fund-level finance leads you hired and trained, systems that produce allocator-grade reporting as a matter of routine, and a capital architecture ready for the firm's next order of magnitude.
## Who you are
- Fifteen or more years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least five in a senior leadership seat — and fund-side experience is a hard requirement, not a preference: you have owned NAV, allocations, and LP reporting inside an asset manager, a fund administrator, or a fund CFO office.
- CPA or chartered accountancy; audit-firm training is prized. You can read a governing document and a GAAP standard with equal fluency.
- You have run an audit end to end and a tax season end to end, more than once, and neither frightens you.
- Treasury and liquidity judgment: you have managed cash and credit through a stressed market, not only through calm ones.
- Fluent in the dual life of this seat — SaaS-era corporate finance for the technology company, fund economics (fees, carry, waterfalls, cap tables) for the manager — or demonstrably able to close the gap in a quarter.
- A builder: you have hired and developed a finance team before, and your controls are strong because your people are, not because your checklists are long.
- Precise in writing, calm under deadline, and allergic to the number that is almost right.
## Compensation
Base salary **$275,000–$375,000**, a target bonus of **30–50%**, and a founding equity grant on a four-year vest — owner-operator economics, structured so that the person who certifies the firm's numbers owns a real share of what those numbers become.
Tell us about the hardest number you ever had to certify — and what you did before you signed it. Every serious application is read by a human.
