In this high-impact role, you will support and refine our existing strategy, driving engagement for our award-winning editorial publications, industry-leading events, high-value custom client content, and overarching SNG corporate brand. You’ll take our proven playbook to the next level by experimenting with cutting-edge formats—from short-form video to striking data visualizations—to captivate decision-makers across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and beyond.

If you thrive on community building and have a passion for building a vibrant, highly engaged audience, this is your stage.

Key Responsibilities & Activities

  • Partner with our content, design and multimedia teams to turn high-quality creative assets into scroll-stopping social posts—crafting punchy copy, pairing visuals, short-form video, and interactive elements to maximize engagement.
  • Plan and launch targeted social campaigns around SNG’s major summits and events—crafting strategic messaging to boost attendee registration, coordinating real-time updates and highlight on-stage content, showcasing event impact to attendees and sponsors alike.
  • Support the execution of a dynamic daily content calendar across all publications—synchronizing posts with priority news releases, podcasts, and broader marketing objectives.
  • Build upon existing social strategies to expand reach, boost engagement, and establish a dedicated audience of key decision-makers across SNG social properties.
  • Track, analyze, and present performance metrics to internal leadership and external partners to continuously refine our strategy—evaluating organic reach and paid campaign impact to demonstrate clear ROI.
  • Actively engage with our community of top C-level government leaders and tech executives sparking meaningful engagement across all platforms.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience developing and executing integrated paid and organic social media strategies (experience in government tech, B2B media, or agency environments strongly preferred).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for detail—demonstrating a deep understanding of complex content, narrative context, and editorial standards (AP Style proficiency strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator) and modern tools like Canva, with proven ability to edit engaging short-form videos and design eye-catching graphic assets on demand.
  • Experience using social management and analytics platforms like HubSpot.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, newsroom-style environment with a high sense of urgency and strong composure under pressure.
  • A team player who excels in an open, highly collaborative environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
