  • Occasionally provide on-site support during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that may arise
  • Assist with post-event wrap-up, including organizing and archiving event files, collecting photos and documentation, and contributing to internal debrief notes and lessons-learned summaries

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Willingness to assist with both office-based and hands-on operational tasks
  • Ability to lift event materials and equipment when necessary

Experience

  • Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Business, Operations Management, Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Previous office, customer service, logistics, warehouse, or event experience is a plus but not required
  • Interest in business operations, project management, logistics, government events, or live event production

Compensation

  • $15/hour

Environment

  • Work is performed primarily at ESI's Alexandria, Virginia office, with opportunities to support projects throughout the Washington, DC region and select nationwide events. Interns should expect a combination of office work, warehouse operations, project coordination, and occasional on-site event responsibilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
