About Pixyls

Pixyls makes premium sticker-by-number kits, scene canvases, bookmarks, desk friends and puzzle books. Every design comes from an independent human artist, never AI. Our customers recreate that art one sticker at a time and end up with a piece they're proud to hang on the wall. We're based in Toronto, we sell across Canada, the US and internationally, and new products come out almost every week.

The role

You'll shape how Pixyls looks everywhere: our products, our packaging, our ads and our website. You'll work directly with the founder to keep the brand bold, colourful and recognizable as we grow into new product lines. The role starts part-time, and we plan to grow it into a full-time position as the brand and the role grow.

What you'll do

• Design graphics for social, paid ads, email, website banners and product pages
• Create packaging, inserts, labels and print pieces for new products and launches
• Edit and retouch product and lifestyle photos so they're bright, true to colour and on-brand
• Direct photo shoots: plan shot lists, set the look, style props and give feedback to photographers and creators
• Look after the brand: keep our guidelines up to date and make sure everything we put out feels like Pixyls
• Help develop the brand as we move into new products like puzzles and paper kits
• Prepare art and layouts for our artists' designs and work with them on how their art shows up
• Design visuals for our big seasonal moments (Valentine's, summer, fall and Christmas) and our weekly drops
• Turn rough ideas into polished designs quickly, and give honest opinions on what works

• Get excited about new products and are always keen to try new things: new styles, new formats, new tools
• Like a small, fast-moving team where plans change and everyone pitches in

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of experience in graphic design and branding (agency, in-house or freelance)
• A strong portfolio showing branding, graphic design and photo work
• Expert skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and/or Figma
• Solid photo editing and retouching skills
• Experience directing or styling photo shoots
• A sharp eye for colour, type and layout, and attention to small details
• Comfortable preparing files for print (dielines, bleed, colour profiles)
• Organized and reliable when working on your own
• Illustration skills: drawing your own artwork, icons, patterns or characters, either digitally or by hand
• Bonus: e-commerce or DTC brand experience
