ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
For 40 years, Adam’s Camp has supported children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through therapy and adventure programs, with mountain camp programming for siblings and parents.
We seek an entrepreneurial development professional to build our fundraising program and prospect pipeline from the ground up. (Position may be defined as Manager or Director role, dependent on skillset/experience.) Working with the Executive Director and Board, you will grow individual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and annual and recurring support through proactive outreach, direct asks, and compelling storytelling.
Donations outside grants and events have averaged approximately $500,000 annually. We aim to reach $1 million or more annually through a three-year build, establishing sustainable fundraising capacity for the next 5–10 years. This role does not manage staff, grants, or fundraising events, but collaborates with those teams on shared relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy and pipeline: Create an annual development plan with measurable goals. Research and qualify individual, corporate, and community prospects, including new relationships; manage identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and long-term engagement.
- Individual and major gifts: Assess capacity and mission alignment, develop personalized strategies, initiate meetings, calls, tours, and site visits, and make direct asks.
- Corporate partnerships: Cultivate and secure sponsors, develop customized proposals, and coordinate event-related relationships and sponsor benefits.
- Giving and communications: Grow acquisition, retention, annual and recurring giving. Lead appeals, campaigns, communications, and stewardship; collaborate on case statements, stories, proposals, presentations, and impact reports.
- Systems and collaboration: Own the donor-management platform and consistent development processes. Engage Board members individually around networks, giving, advocacy, and fundraising. Coordinate across departments, strengthen shared fundraising responsibility, and support related development needs.
FIRST-YEAR SUCCESS
Build a documented, qualified prospect pipeline; maintain consistent cultivation and follow-up; implement giving-growth strategies; secure new corporate partners; and establish sustainable systems. Pipeline and relationship-development targets will be set together within 60 days.

· Independent ownership, prioritization, and consistent follow-through.

PERFORMANCE AND GROWTH
Mutually established goals guide evaluation within the three-year strategy. Annual performance and compensation reviews consider responsibilities, results, and organizational needs.
