Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to oversee credit and collections operations for an established organization in Moonachie, NJ. This role is responsible for managing customer credit accounts, evaluating creditworthiness, monitoring outstanding balances, and ensuring timely payment collection.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in credit and collections, strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all credit and collection functions for the organization.
• Establish credit accounts for new customers and review existing customer credit limits and payment terms.
• Review daily credit holds on customer orders and determine whether orders should be released.
• Review and monitor Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) credit ratings for customers and maintain accurate, up-to-date company information.
• Manage the collections process to ensure customer payments are received within agreed-upon terms.
• Handle credit card transactions and payment processing.
• Work closely with customers and internal departments to resolve credit and payment issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a credit and collections department.
• College degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
• Previous experience in a similar industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of credit evaluation, credit limits, and collections practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Position Details

• Salary: $62,000 - $65,000 annually
• Location: Moonachie, NJ
• Work Arrangement: 100% On-site
