About Freefly and the Role
Freefly Systems builds professional-grade drones, payloads, and power products such as Astro, Alta X, SL8 smart batteries, the Pilot Pro controller, and, your new product focus, Flux Lidar systems. We need a hands-on software engineer who can take this world class product and make it better. Improve workflows, speed processing times, develop new features, and build a system operators truly love.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of hardware development experience that solved real problems
- A real understanding of lidar, the math behind it, and the sensors around it
- Hands-on SLAM or mapping work
- An eye for workflow and interface
- Comfort with AI coding tools, plus the judgment to know when not to trust them
- The ability to explain what you built and why you made the trade-offs you did

Compensation
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000/yr depending on experience.
- Profit Sharing, Medical, Dental, Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off (PTO) available.
