About the Role

Bloomin Blinds is seeking a customer-focused Window Coverings Specialist to help customers select blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery that fit their spaces, preferences, and budgets. You will guide customers from consultation through ordering and installation coordination, combining product knowledge, attention to detail, and responsive service. Measure, repair and installation training is provided as well.

Key Responsibilities

·        Consult with customers in their homes and or office, or sometimes virtually, to understand their needs, style preferences, and budget.

·        Recommend suitable window coverings, fabrics, finishes, operating systems, and motorization options.

·        Explain light control, privacy, energy-efficiency considerations, care requirements, and safe operation.

·        Take and document accurate window measurements, site conditions, and product specifications according to company procedures.

·        Prepare clear estimates, explain pricing and lead times, and follow up on customer inquiries.

·        Process orders accurately and coordinate with suppliers and installers to support timely delivery and installation.

·        Maintain customer records, track order status, and communicate updates or changes proactively.

·        Help resolve product or service concerns and support customers after installation.

·        Keep product samples and displays organized and stay informed about new products and manufacturer guidance.

Qualifications

Required

·        Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills.

·        Ability to take precise measurements, perform basic calculations, and maintain accurate records.

·        Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple appointments and orders.

·        Comfort using email, scheduling tools, and sales or order-management software.

·        Ability to learn product specifications and explain options clearly to customers.

Preferred

·        Experience in window coverings, interior design, home improvement, retail sales, or a related field.

·        Familiarity with blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, or motorized window treatments.

·        Experience with in-home consultations, estimating, or installation coordination.

Work Environment and Travel

This role will involve work and visits to customer homes or job sites. Daily Local travel is expected; distant travel is required for training and onboarding. Utilization of company Van, essential physical duties include ability to lift upwards of 25 lbs., use of a ladder, hand tools, light installation is highly desired.
