About this opportunity

About Arrae:
Arrae is a fast-growing wellness brand specializing in 100% natural supplements to help with everyday health concerns.
About The Role:
We’re looking for a highly organized, technically minded Technical Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our growing Lifecycle team.
This role sits at the intersection of CRM, retention, technical execution, and operations. You’ll be the person making sure our lifecycle engine actually works: campaigns are built correctly, flows are healthy, audiences are right, QA is airtight, opportunities are identified early, and nothing falls through the cracks.
This is not a role for someone who wants to simply execute a checklist. We’re looking for someone who can look at a flow, campaign, or customer journey and think: What’s happening here? Is this working? What could be better? What’s about to break?
You should be deeply comfortable in Klaviyo and Recharge, highly detail-oriented, analytically curious, and confident in managing the moving pieces behind a sophisticated DTC lifecycle program. Agency experience or experience working within a high-growth e-commerce brand is strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
Own Lifecycle Execution & Technical Operations
- Own the day-to-day operational execution of Arrae's lifecycle marketing program across email, SMS, and other CRM channels.
- Translate lifecycle strategy and campaign direction into accurate, timely execution.
- Build, QA, schedule, and launch campaigns in Klaviyo.
- Implement audience segmentation based on strategic direction, while partnering closely with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager on audience strategy and final segmentation decisions.
- Manage dynamic content, personalization, UTMs, tracking, links, naming conventions, and other campaign details.
- Coordinate directly with our agency on campaign builds, revisions, technical requirements, and deliverables.
- Keep the lifecycle calendar, Asana workflows, project statuses, and operational documentation organized and up to date.
Support Subscription Retention & Loyalty Initiatives
Recharge experience is a major plus, and we mean hands-on experience. We’re looking for someone who has personally built cancellation saves, free gifts, quick actions and similar features in Recharge, not just someone who has overseen retention strategy. Experience building and managing a loyalty platform is also a nice-to-have.
You will be responsible for:
- Building and iterating on cancellation flows in Recharge, including save offers, skip, swap and delay options, and other retention interventions.
- Configuring subscriber-facing features such as free gift initiatives, quick actions, add-ons and customer portal experiences.
- Launching subscription upsell, cross-sell and bundle opportunities.
- Building Recharge-triggered lifecycle communications and subscription customer journeys.
- Shaping loyalty program structure, rewards, earning and redemption rules, and omnichannel experience.
Own Flow Health, Testing & Optimization
- Build, maintain, QA, and optimize lifecycle flows across the customer journey.
- Monitor flow performance and proactively identify broken logic, performance declines, technical issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop thoughtful testing recommendations based on performance data, customer behavior, and lifecycle best practices.
- Bring forward a hypothesis and recommendation, receive strategic sign-off, then independently manage implementation, QA, launch, and monitoring.
- Own the operational execution of A/B tests across campaigns and flows, including setup, documentation, monitoring, and analysis.
- Maintain a testing library and ensure learnings are documented and carried forward.
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention, engagement, and customer experience before they become larger problems.
Be the Lifecycle Team's Technical Problem Solver
You should be the person who notices the problem before it becomes a problem for everyone else.
- Troubleshoot flow logic, triggers, filters, segmentation, integrations, rendering, tracking, and personalization issues.
- Identify discrepancies in campaign or flow performance and investigate the underlying cause.
- Monitor lifecycle systems for anomalies and proactively flag meaningful changes.
- Maintain customer properties, custom events, lists, integrations, and data hygiene.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-send QA across email, SMS, links, UTMs, dynamic content, personalization, and mobile rendering.
- Maintain and improve QA processes and operational systems.
- Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Escalate strategic decisions when needed, but independently solve operational problems whenever possible.
Reporting, Insights & Proactive Recommendations
You won't just pull numbers. You'll help us understand what they mean.
- Maintain recurring operational lifecycle reporting.
- Monitor campaign and flow performance.
- Identify meaningful anomalies or changes.
- Surface opportunities for testing and optimization.
- Track performance of experiments and document learnings.
- Come to the team with a point of view when something changes.
For example:
“Welcome Flow revenue is down 18% while traffic is flat. The decline appears isolated to Email 2 after the latest change. I recommend we test X against the current treatment.”
The Lifecycle Marketing + PR Manager will own the broader strategic interpretation and leadership reporting, but you are expected to bring the insight, not just the spreadsheet.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–4+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, retention marketing, email marketing, or marketing operations within an e-commerce / DTC environment.
- Experience working on the brand or agency side; experience supporting high-growth or 8–9 figure DTC brands is a strong plus.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Klaviyo and Recharge
- Strong understanding of flows, segmentation, dynamic content, personalization, campaign execution, testing, reporting, and platform administration.
- Experience managing the technical execution of email and/or SMS programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot flow logic, integrations, tracking issues, rendering issues, and other technical problems independently.
- Strong analytical instincts and ability to turn performance changes into actionable hypotheses.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for QA.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with external agencies and vendors.
- Excellent organizational skills and experience working in tools such as Asana.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound day-to-day decisions without constant direction.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with building & managing loyalty programs is a nice-to-have
- Experience with platforms and integrations such as Stay AI, Skio, Zaymo, Retention.com, Attentive, Postscript, and Alia.
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for email troubleshooting and template edits.
- Experience with attribution, UTM tracking, and retention reporting.
- Experience with email authentication and deliverability, including DMARC, SPF, DKIM, domain reputation, and inbox placement.
- Experience in beauty, wellness, health, or other premium consumer brands.
- Strong copywriting instincts and ability to write or edit straightforward CRM copy when needed, particularly for functional lifecycle communications such as cancellation, retention, Loyalty, or transactional journeys.
Who You Are
You're the person who catches the broken link before the email goes out.
You live comfortably inside both Recharge & Klaviyo and genuinely enjoy the technical side of lifecycle marketing, but you're not just a button-pusher.
You notice patterns.
You ask questions.
You investigate when something looks off.
You see an underperforming flow and want to know why.
You can look at a customer journey and spot a missing step.
You don't need someone standing over you to tell you what to do next.
You're exceptionally detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture. You can manage ten moving pieces, know which three actually matter, and keep the rest moving without dropping anything.
You're comfortable saying, “I found a problem, here's what I think is happening, and here's what I'd recommend we do.”
You're equally comfortable taking a strategic direction and turning it into flawless execution.
You care about the details because you understand that operational excellence is part of the customer experience.
And ideally, you're excited by the opportunity to grow beyond email execution into the broader world of CRM, retention, Loyalty, subscriptions, and customer lifecycle strategy.
