About this opportunity
Associate Veterinarian role at an AAHA, Fear Free hospital in Denver, CO with a 4-day week and bonus potential!
We are working on behalf of a family-owned, independent small animal hospital in Denver, CO that is looking to welcome an experienced Associate Veterinarian to its team. Well established for over a decade, this AAHA-accredited, Fear Free certified practice has built a loyal following across some of Denver’s most desirable neighborhoods, and it has done it the old-fashioned way: good medicine, kind people, and clients who keep coming back.
The caseload is mainly dogs and cats, with the occasional small furry patient, and covers wellness, preventive care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and sick appointments. You will have the tools to practice the way you were trained, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, an in-house lab with coagulation testing, cold laser, and electronic medical records. Mobile surgical and internal medicine specialists visit the hospital, so you can keep complex cases close to home and learn alongside them.
Staffing is a genuine strength here. Relief doctors regularly say it is one of the best-supported hospitals they have worked in, which means less firefighting and more time actually practicing medicine.
The schedule is built around a 4-day work week with every third Saturday as a half day, giving you real time back for the mountains, family, or whatever else matters to you. Being independent means decisions are made in the building, by people who know your name, with a clear focus on professional development and life-work balance.
