About this opportunity
RMI · Holderness, NH · Full-time, onsite
$52,000–$62,000 per year, based on experience
Are you the person who figures it out?
Some people see an unfamiliar problem and wait for instructions. Others start looking for the answer. We’re looking for the second kind.
RMI recycles materials like wood ash and other residuals into products that go back to work on farms and fields. Behind every delivery is a lot of coordination: trucks, drivers, permits, equipment, and the buildings that keep it all running. Our Operations and Facilities Coordinator helps all of it run smoothly.
What you’ll do
This job has a lot of variety. On any given day, you might:
- Keep our fleet on the road and in compliance by tracking permits and registrations, reviewing daily inspection reports, and making sure problems get fixed.
- Manage the technology in our trucks, including GPS and maintenance tracking, onboard scales, and whatever we add next.
- Work with drivers on schedules, paperwork, and the curveballs that come up on the road.
- Look after our facilities by scheduling repairs, managing contractors, and being the first call when something goes wrong.
- Head into the field to collect samples, move equipment, or lend a hand where it’s needed.
- Back up the Operations Manager when they’re out.
What we’re looking for
We care more about how you think than what you’ve already done.
- Curiosity. You want to know how things work and why. When you come across something you don’t understand, you look for answers.
- Ambition. You want to grow, take on more, and become the person others rely on.
- Resourcefulness. You’d rather find the answer than wait for it, and you know when to ask for help.
- Reliability. You follow through, keep good records, and stay organized when several things need attention at once.
- Good communication. You’re comfortable talking with drivers, contractors, and coworkers, and you can explain things clearly in writing.
What you don’t need
You don’t need to know IFTA, IRP, ERoad, or Air Weigh. Most people haven’t heard of them. We’ll train you on our systems and the regulations behind them.
An associate degree or some experience in logistics, dispatch, facilities, or a related field is helpful. Equivalent experience counts too. A CDL or experience running a tractor or loader is a plus but not required.
The practical details
- The job is onsite in Holderness, in the heart of the Lakes Region.
- It’s mainly office work, but occasionally field work. You’ll need to be able to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors in New Hampshire weather.
- Occasional after-hours response may be needed for facility emergenciesand driver calls.
- Benefits: [health insurance, retirement, PTO, etc.]
It can be from work, school, or anywhere else.
RMI is an equal opportunity employer.
