About this opportunity
About Us
Giusti USA is the American branch of Acetaia Giusti, the historic producer of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, founded in 1605 and run by the same family for 17 generations. Our products are sold by fine food retailers, specialty grocers, distributors, and restaurants across the United States.
Giusti USA has grown by more than 80% over the last three years, and we are expanding our team to support that growth.
We are still a small team, so every role has a real impact on our customers and on the business.
The Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized Sales Operations & Accounting Specialist to manage
our order-to-cash process. You will be the link between our B2B customers, our third-party logistics
(3PL) warehouse, and our accounting. You will make sure orders are entered correctly, shipped on time,
invoiced accurately, and reconciled. You will work closely with our Sales Manager in our Manhattan
office.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and process customer orders in QuickBooks Online, checking pricing, terms, and customer details.
- Manage orders received through EDI portals (e.g., SPS Commerce): retrieve purchase orders,
send acknowledgments, ASNs, and invoices, and keep everything compliant with retailer requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact with our 3PL warehouse on order fulfillment, shipping schedules, inventory levels, and any issues that come up.
- Prepare and send invoices to customers accurately and on time.
- Match and reconcile bank and payment transactions in QuickBooks Online, and apply customer payments to open invoices.
- Act as the first point of contact for B2B customers on order status, shipping, invoices, and payments, and resolve problems quickly and professionally.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices when needed.
- Keep customer and order records accurate and up to date.
- Support the sales and finance teams (in the U.S. and Italy) with reports and ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in order management, sales operations, customer service, or accounts receivable, preferably in food & beverage, CPG, or wholesale distribution.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (invoicing, bank feeds, transaction matching, payments).
- Experience with EDI platforms (SPS Commerce or similar) is a strong plus.
- Experience working with a 3PL warehouse is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles (AR, reconciliations).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage many orders at the same time.
- Clear, professional written and spoken communication in English.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Italian language skills are a plus.
- Applicants must have valid U.S. work authorization.
What We Offer
- Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 per year, based on experience
- Health insurance
- 401(k) with safe harbor company match (up to 3% of salary)
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- Hybrid schedule: at least 4 days per week in our WeWork office in Manhattan
- The chance to join a fast-growing company behind an iconic Italian food brand with more than 400 years of history
- A small, collaborative team where your work is visible and valued
