About this opportunity

Location: Remote -- United States only

Hours: Approximately 7–10 hours per week

Compensation: $20 per hour, paid weekly via Zelle

Position Type: Part-Time Independent Contractor

Speakeasy Authority Marketing is looking for a confident, curious, and highly dependable interviewer to conduct recorded content interviews with attorneys across the United States.

These interviews are the foundation for articles, books, videos, and other marketing content written in each attorney’s voice. You will not be expected to provide legal advice or already know every area of law. Your job is to make attorneys feel comfortable, guide the conversation, ask thoughtful follow-up questions, and draw out the experience and insight that make their perspective valuable.

We will provide full training on our interview formats, workflows, technology, and expectations.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct engaging, professional interviews with attorneys over Zoom or by phone.
  • Lead structured 60-minute content interviews and occasional longer Speak-a-Book interviews.
  • Review the attorney’s practice areas, website, and assigned topics before each call.
  • Prepare and ask clear, relevant questions that encourage detailed, useful answers.
  • Listen closely and ask natural follow-up questions rather than simply reading from a script.
  • Keep conversations focused and moving while still allowing the attorney’s personality and expertise to come through.
  • Explain the interview process clearly and help attorneys feel prepared and comfortable.
  • Confirm that enough substantive material has been gathered before concluding each interview.
  • Record interviews properly and ensure files and notes are saved according to our process.
  • Document important follow-ups, client requests, concerns, or content limitations identified during the call.
  • Complete required tracking and hand off recordings and notes promptly to the appropriate internal team.
  • Communicate quickly if an attorney does not attend, needs to reschedule, or raises an issue requiring additional support.
  • Assist with other interview-related responsibilities as assigned.
Scheduling Expectations

This is a flexible part-time role, but it requires dependable, pre-committed availability.

You will be asked to select and maintain set interview availability blocks each week so our team can confidently schedule attorneys during those times. Because our clients are located throughout the United States, some flexibility during standard U.S. business hours will be important.

Once an interview is placed on your calendar, we need you to treat that time as a firm commitment. Attorneys have demanding schedules, so punctuality, preparation, and reliable attendance are essential.

The workload is expected to average approximately 7–10 hours per week, although the exact schedule may vary based on interview volume.

You May Be a Great Fit If You
  • Are a strong conversational interviewer who knows how to make people feel at ease.
  • Ask thoughtful follow-up questions and recognize when an answer needs more detail.
  • Can confidently guide conversations with attorneys and other experienced professionals.
  • Are warm and personable without losing control of the interview.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both spoken and written English.
  • Are organized, punctual, responsive, and comfortable managing a changing calendar.
  • Can follow a defined process while adapting naturally to the person you are interviewing.
  • Are comfortable learning unfamiliar legal topics and asking questions when something is unclear.
  • Have a quiet, professional environment, dependable internet access, and reliable audio equipment.
  • Are comfortable using Zoom, Google Workspace, shared calendars, and internal tracking systems.
  • Are based in the United States and able to accept weekly payment through Zelle.

Previous interviewing, journalism, podcasting, client services, communications, legal marketing, or professional-services experience is helpful, but it is not required. We care most about your judgment, curiosity, reliability, and ability to create a productive conversation.
