Optimal Solutions Planner

A rapidly growing fleet operations, that is expanding their logistics capabilities to support a massive surge in demand is needing an Optimal Solutions Planner.

This is a newly created position designed to leverage their recent upgrade to Optimal Solutions routing software. You will oversee the strategic planning for a core fleet of 100 over-the-road trucks, ensuring seamless lane efficiency primarily across cold storage distribution networks.

Core Responsibilities:

• Fleet Planning: Optimize daily routing and lane scheduling for a dedicated fleet of 100 trucks.
• Cold Chain Logistics: Direct freight movement primarily into major storage facilities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with 5 fleet dispatchers to ensure plan execution.
• Software Utilization: Leverage Optimal Solutions software to maximize asset utilization and driver hours.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Logistics Experience: Proven track record in freight planning or fleet optimization.
• Software Proficiency: Direct experience with Optimal Solutions or McLeod software is highly preferred.
• Communication Skills: Ability to coordinate seamlessly between upper management and dispatch teams.
• Adaptability: High comfort level working within a fast-growing, tech-forward trucking operation.

Position Overview:

• Target Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 base salary (Based on experience)
• Performance Bonus: 10% annual bonus potential
• Relocation Support: Flat-rate assistance available (negotiable)
• Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Director of Transportation
