Systems Engineer/ Medical Device Software Tester

Akkodis is seeking a Systems Engineer/ Medical Device Software Tester for a 6-month contract with a client in Raleigh, NC 27607 (Hybrid).

Title: Systems Engineer/ Medical Device Software Tester

Location: Raleigh, NC 27607 (Hybrid)

Duration: 6-month contract with possible extensions

Pay Rate: $70-75/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Position is Hybrid - 3 days onsite (prefer Tues, Wed, Thurs) and 2 remote.

Job Description:

Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of software testing experience.
• Experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices.
• Software product testing experience, including identifying the root cause of defects.
• Experience working with embedded software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• This is not a coding role.

Position Summary:

Responsible for coordination and management of software backlog for one or more groups of related products (i.e. NovumIQ) to achieve defined program goals. This includes work related to the development of new products, and maintenance and engineering support of existing products. Interfaces with other departments including Systems, Marketing, Sales, Service, Operations, Medical Affairs, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to understand product requirements, communicate important information, and address issues relative to each product.
