Senior Estimator

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Estimator with strong heavy civil construction experience to prepare accurate and competitive estimates by reviewing drawings, bid documents, quantities, labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor/vendor pricing.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for heavy construction and highway projects.
• Estimate labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Obtain, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support Project Management and Engineering teams with estimating-related questions.
• Manage multiple estimating tasks and meet tight bid deadlines.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the estimating process.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Minimum 7 years of estimating experience in heavy civil/heavy construction.
• Strong experience with quantity takeoffs for heavy construction and highway projects.
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
