Senior Accountant

Our client, an established and growing company based in West Palm Beach, FL with multiple retail locations, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role, working closely with management, and contributing to the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform multiple bank and credit card reconciliations, including daily cash receipts and deposit activity.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of financial transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support financial schedules.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting and closing activities.
• Supervise and support the Accounts Payable Clerk, oversee invoice processing, vendor payments, and related accounting functions.
• Collaborate with department heads across multiple retail store locations to address accounting matters, review financial information, and ensure accurate reporting of store-level activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3–5 years of hands-on, full-cycle accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including proficiency with spreadsheets
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and GAAP
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in a multi-location retail environment is a plus
