About this opportunity
Senior Tax Manager
Westbury NY
What if you could help build a firm rather than just work for one?
You've spent 10 to 15 years becoming very good at tax. You know how to manage clients, develop people and spot opportunities.
But perhaps you're starting to wonder whether your entrepreneurial side is getting enough exercise.
I'm working with a smaller, ambitious CPA practice that wants someone who thinks a little like a business owner, not just a Senior Tax Manager.
The person leading the practice made the move from a large firm themselves. They understand the appeal of having more autonomy, more influence and fewer people telling you why your perfectly sensible idea needs another meeting.
This is an opportunity to get involved in growing a practice, developing client relationships and having a genuine say in where the business goes next.
They're looking for someone with 10 to 15 years of public accounting tax experience who has the drive to build something, not simply inherit a portfolio and keep the wheels turning.
The interesting thing about smaller firms is that your impact can actually be bigger.
And if you've got an entrepreneurial streak, that can be rather addictive.
You don't need to be unhappy where you are. Just curious about what you could achieve somewhere that gives you more freedom to do it.
You’ll be based out of their office in Long Island. They aren’t looking to close up shop or be sold to PE, but continue to grow independently.
Sounds like something you’d like to be a part of? Hit apply.
Here’s the part most people get wrong: you don’t need to tick every box to introduce yourself. The apply button is not legally binding. Worst case? We chat, decide the timing isn’t right, and you carry on. Best case? You bag yourself a fantastic new position.
