Our client, a mid-sized IP boutique law firm in Chicago, is seeking to add a Trademark Paralegal with 2-5+ years of experience to join their firm. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected law firm with an amazing team culture. The firm operates on a flexible hybrid WFH schedule of 2-days per week WFH.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and maintain U.S. trademark applications and related prosecution documents with the USPTO
- Assist attorneys with domestic and international trademark clearance, registration, maintenance, and enforcement matters
- Prepare and file trademark renewals, declarations of use, assignments, ownership changes, and other post-registration documents
- Monitor and maintain trademark docketing systems, ensuring all deadlines and filing requirements are accurately tracked and met
- Review USPTO correspondence and assist in preparing responses to office actions and examiner inquiries
- Coordinate and manage foreign trademark filings and communications with international counsel
- Prepare status reports and portfolio summaries for clients
- Conduct trademark searches and assist with preliminary analyses and reporting
- Support attorneys with opposition, cancellation, and enforcement matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $70,000 - $95,000
- Annual discretionary bonus
