OpenPath Investments is a real estate investment firm focused on industrial and multifamily properties. We're seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with the CFO, this position offers hands-on experience across our property and corporate entities, including general ledger accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, and process improvements.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to develop their skills and take on meaningful responsibilities.

What You'll Do

• Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting accounting schedules.
• Assist with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and accurate recordkeeping across property and corporate entities.
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, approval coordination, vendor payments, and credit card transactions.
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and certificates of insurance; respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with operations and other teams to research accounting issues, gather information, and support day-to-day financial activities.
• Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, identify errors, and recommend practical improvements to accounting processes.

What We're Looking For

• Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (completed or in progress), or equivalent relevant experience.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and a willingness to ask questions and solve problems.
• Comfort with Excel and accounting systems; QuickBooks and Bill.com experience are a plus.
• Clear communication, sound judgment, professionalism, and a positive, team-first attitude.
