Pay Rate: $20.00-$25.73/ Hr on W2

Job Description

Duration: 6 months, with the possibility of renewal for up to 2 years

As a Packaging Engineer, you will learn and apply technical and soft skills to effectively support a packaging category or brand. You will be part of a team, contributing to the team’s vision, expertise, and individual goals.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble packaging prototypes for consumer testing.
• Participate in the process of managing new tooling development.
• Learn how to drive adherence to key dates across divisions, operations, and vendors.
• Develop the ability to anticipate and escalate roadblocks to ensure deadlines and major launch milestones are met.
• Learn and become proficient in systems related to packaging specifications and testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1+ years of proven experience in packaging engineering and development desired, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or a related field.
• Strong PC skills, including MS Office, PowerPoint, and CAD software.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Strong understanding of the packaging production process.
• Meticulous attention to design details and quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with high sensitivity to diverse global cultures.
• Ability to work independently in a matrix environment.
• Strong organizational skills and flexibility, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment while meeting established deadlines.
• Demonstrated skills in analyzing, reporting, and documenting information with strong attention to detail.
