Are you exceptionally organized, great with people, and able to keep things running smoothly when priorities change by the hour?

Dr. Alexis Hoffkling (pending General Election results) is seeking a Legislative Aide to manage day-to-day office operations, coordinate legislative priorities, communicate with constituents and stakeholders, conduct research, and supervise a team of 5–10 interns in her Capitol office.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is impeccable with their integrity.
  • Has outstanding people skills.
  • Is a self-starter who can manage competing priorities without constant direction.
  • Has excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and pays attention to the details.
  • Can confidently work with elected officials, state agencies, and constituents from all walks of life.

The right attitude, sound judgment, and ability to manage people and priorities matter most.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, based at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.
  • Fast-paced legislative session (January–May), with a more flexible hybrid schedule during the interim (June–December).
  • Salary $46,000-$68,000, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Full state benefits, including health insurance and PERA retirement eligibility.
  • Union-eligible position (Political Workers Guild of Colorado).

Position contingent upon November 3 election results.

One final question: If you could change one Colorado state policy tomorrow, what would it be and why?

Include your answer in your cover letter. We're interested in how you think, not whether we agree with your answer.

Applications missing any of the three required documents or the answer to the question will not be considered
