About the FTEP Practice

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Accountant to join our Las Vegas FTEP practice. This role is best suited for professionals who can quickly assess environments, manage competing priorities, and deliver accurate, timely accounting work in fast-paced client settings. You will support clients across industries with tasks that may include month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, AP/AR, audit prep, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close activities
- Prepare and analyze journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Support financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation to internal/external auditors
- Manage AP, AR, fixed assets, and general ledger activities depending on client needs
- Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements
- Adapt quickly to new systems, environments, and financial processes
- Collaborate with client finance teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–7 years of progressive accounting experience (corporate, public, or a mix)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficiency with Excel; experience with multiple ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Comfort working in dynamic environments and learning new systems quickly
Preferred Experience
- Experience in hospitality, gaming, manufacturing, or services
- Exposure to shared services or multi‑entity environments
- Prior consulting or project-based work experience
