We’re looking for an experienced, detail-driven Family Law Paralegal who takes pride in their work, cares about clients, and wants to be part of a team that does things the right way.
What You’ll Do- Draft pleadings, motions, financial affidavits, discovery requests and responses, and settlement documents
- Prepare and manage case files from intake through judgment and post-judgment matters
- Organize and analyze financial disclosures, including bank statements, tax returns, and business records
- Prepare exhibits, trial notebooks, and materials for hearings, mediations, and depositions
- E-file with the Connecticut Judicial Branch and track deadlines, court dates, and case calendars
- Serve as a warm, reliable point of contact for clients during stressful times
- Coordinate with opposing counsel, GALs, mediators, and court staff
- 3+ years of paralegal experience in family law (Connecticut experience strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with Connecticut Superior Court procedures and e-filing
- Excellent writing, organization, and attention to detail
- The ability to manage several active matters and meet deadlines without being micromanaged
- Professionalism, discretion, and empathy with clients in emotionally difficult situations
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office and practice management software
- Paralegal certificate or degree preferred
This is a hybrid position, ideally two days per week in our Hamden office. For experienced candidates with a proven track record of strong work ethic, reliability, and independent productivity, we are open to a fully remote arrangement.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary starts at $65,000, with higher compensation for candidates with more experience
