We're hiring: In-House Counsel, HR & Operations Manager

Talon Headhunters is partnering with a family-led commercial real estate developer with a growing portfolio of Class A office assets across South Florida. The firm is expanding, with a new Class A office tower in development, and needs one leader to own legal, people and operations.

📍 Brickell, Miami (on-site)

💼 Reports to Controller / Senior Leadership

💰 $150,000 – $170,000 base

What you'll own:

⚖️ Legal & Corporate (~45%)

• Draft and negotiate commercial leases, amendments, estoppels and SNDAs

• Maintain entity filings and compliance across the portfolio

• Support acquisitions, dispositions and refinancings

• Manage outside counsel

👥 Human Resources (~30%)

• Own the full employee lifecycle, handbook and HR policies

• Ensure FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO and I-9 compliance

• Manage payroll inputs, benefits and the PEO relationship

• Lead employee relations and investigations

⚙️ Operations & Property Support (~25%)

• Build processes, workflows and controls

• Manage vendors and the insurance program

• Track permits, licenses and lease critical dates

• Support tenants and property management teams

What we're looking for:

✅ JD required; active Florida Bar strongly preferred

✅ 5+ years of legal experience, ideally commercial real estate leasing and entity management

✅ 2+ years of hands-on HR responsibility

✅ A track record of building processes and improving operations

✅ Bilingual English/Spanish and SHRM/PHR certification a plus

This is a leadership seat working directly with ownership. You'll build the legal, HR and operating foundation of a growing Class A platform.
