Business Development Representative (BDR) Intern

About ChaosTrack
ChaosTrack is an AI-powered cybersecurity preparedness and incident response platform built for modern enterprises. We help security teams run tabletop exercises, simulate real-world breach scenarios, and automate incident response. We’re a fast-growing startup and we’re looking for a hungry, motivated BDR Intern to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on, paid sales internship — not a coffee-and-spreadsheets role. You’ll be on the front lines of our sales effort, learning how to identify prospects, craft outreach, and have real conversations with potential customers. You’ll be trained directly by our VP of Sales and get exposure to how a fast-moving cybersecurity startup builds its pipeline from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
- Research and identify prospective customers that fit ChaosTrack’s ideal customer profile
- Build and maintain prospect lists using LinkedIn and other tools
- Make cold calls and send outbound emails to generate interest and book meetings for the sales team
- Log all activity and maintain accurate records in HubSpot
- Learn and refine your outreach messaging over time based on what’s working
- Participate in team sales calls to learn discovery and demo techniques
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Genuinely interested in sales, startups, or cybersecurity — ideally all three
- Not afraid of picking up the phone — you see rejection as part of the process, not a reason to stop
- Strong communicator, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn, or sales tools is a plus but not required — we’ll train you

- 100% remote — work from anywhere in the US
- Strong performers will have the opportunity to continue with ChaosTrack
Why This Internship Is Different
You won’t be doing busy work. Within your first two weeks you’ll be making real calls, working real leads, and contributing to real pipeline. If you perform well, this has a clear path to a full-time BDR or Sales role after graduation.
