Product Engineer, Series A AI Healthcare Start-Up (Full-Stack)

I’m working with an AI-native healthcare start-up in Flatiron that runs its own medical practice. Licensed physicians, supported by AI tooling the team builds in-house, answer patients in under three minutes on average. They’re backed by two tier-one VCs, grew revenue 5x last year, and have a national pharmacy partner rolling them out to all 50 states.
They’re growing the engineering team and are hiring several Product Engineers to own whole areas of the product end to end.
The Role
You’ll build net new features for two products: the patient app on web and mobile, and the AI tooling their physicians use every day. One engineer owns an area across front end, back end, data and infrastructure, so you’ll take things from idea to production.
Typical work includes:
- Building patient-facing features on web and mobile to drive engagement and retention
- Scaling backend infrastructure with a focus on stability and data integrity
- Integrating AI into the physician platform to make doctors faster and more capable
- Building integrations with large enterprise clients, including EMR, claims data and health records
- Helping shape the product and engineering culture as the team grows
Tech Stack
TypeScript, React, Next.js, React Native, Node.js, Python, Postgres, Redis, AWS, Terraform.
What they’re looking for
- 5 to 10 years of experience, with a track record of building new products from zero to one
- Net new, consumer-facing products shipped to end users, not only improvements or internal tools
- Production experience across front end, back end and infrastructure
- Standout companies or a strong CS background, ideally both
- A product mindset, low ego, and the ability to explain clearly what you built and why it mattered
- Based in New York, able to work hybrid 3 to 4 days a week in the Flatiron office
- US citizen or Green Card holder (no visa sponsorship)
The Opportunity
- Join a physician-founded company building AI doctors, with real revenue and a national rollout
- Own whole product areas end to end at Series A
- $190,000 to $225,000 base plus equity
- A fast process, roughly two weeks from first call to offer
