Position Overview
Sandel Law Firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our growing practice full-time. The ideal candidate is a strong negotiator, a clear communicator, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. This role offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to develop expertise across the personal injury plaintiff field.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of client matters from intake through resolution
- Negotiate injury claims directly with insurance adjusters
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, and mediations as needed
- Communicate directly with clients to provide updates, explain legal options, and manage expectations
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
- Direct and coordinate paralegals and support staff as needed
- Stay current on relevant case law, statutes, and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Ohio, in good standing
- 2+ years of experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
- Professional, client-first attitude with strong interpersonal skills
