About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join an established litigation practice in Phoenix, Arizona.
This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking to strengthen their litigation experience while working on a diverse range of civil disputes, including insurance defense, construction-related claims, and personal injury matters.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced legal professionals in a collaborative environment that emphasizes professional development, practical litigation experience, and high-quality client representation.
The position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support civil litigation matters throughout various stages of the legal process.
- Review case materials, evaluate legal issues, and assist in developing effective litigation strategies.
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, legal opinions, and case assessments.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare for, conduct, and defend depositions.
- Represent clients during court hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings.
- Assist with mediation preparation, settlement discussions, and dispute resolution.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage deadlines, case documentation, and competing priorities with attention to detail.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal support teams to ensure efficient case handling.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona.
- Practical experience preparing motions, participating in depositions, and attending court hearings.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and written advocacy skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication abilities.
- Ability to independently manage assignments, prioritize deadlines, and maintain organized case files.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality legal services.
- Collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented legal environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in civil litigation.
- Previous exposure to insurance defense matters.
- Experience with construction disputes, personal injury litigation, or complex civil cases.
- Familiarity with Arizona civil litigation procedures and courtroom practices.
