Do you want hands-on experience in one of the fastest-growing areas of medicine? Osei-Tutu Dermatology & Hair Restoration is a Brooklyn dermatology practice focused mainly on hair restoration. We perform hair transplants, PRP, and other regenerative hair treatments, and our patients leave with real, life-changing results. We're a small, supportive team, and we're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who wants to learn a specialized skill set and take pride in their work.

The Role: Front and Back Office

Our MAs rotate between front desk and clinical work. Some days you'll run the front desk, some days you'll work in the back with patients, and on full days you may switch between the two. You won't be stuck doing the same thing every day, and you'll learn every side of how a practice runs.

Front desk

    •    Greet patients and check them in and out

    •    Answer phones and schedule appointments

    •    Verify insurance and collect payments

    •    Keep patient records accurate and up to date

Back office

    •    Assist the physician during hair transplant procedures, including room prep, instruments, and patient support

    •    Draw blood and prepare PRP for hair restoration treatments

    •    Room patients, take vitals, and update medical histories

    •    Take standardized before-and-after scalp and hair photos

    •    Scribe and document visits in our EMR

    •    Sterilize instruments and keep rooms stocked and ready

    •    Explain pre- and post-procedure instructions to patients

Schedule

    •    Regular clinic days: Wednesdays and Fridays, [hours]

    •    One Saturday clinic per month

    •    Hair transplant days are part of the role. These are scheduled in advance and may occasionally fall on a weekend. They're long procedure days, and the team works staggered shifts to share the early starts and late finishes. We'll walk you through how scheduling works during your interview.

What We're Looking For

    •    1+ year of medical assistant experience

    •    Comfortable with both front desk and clinical duties

    •    Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred

    •    Experience in dermatology, hair restoration, or surgical assisting is a plus

    •    MA certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred
