Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer | Midtown Manhattan

We’re looking for a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to join an established MEP engineering firm in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. You'll be working with PE Licensed engineers, some of the best in NYC.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The office is centrally located in Manhattan, making it an easy commute from New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, Westchester and Connecticut.

What You’ll Work On

• Plumbing and fire protection systems for complex building projects
• Domestic water, sanitary, storm and natural gas systems
• Fire protection and sprinkler system design
• Construction documents, specifications and calculations
• Coordination with architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Code compliance and system design
• Construction administration and project coordination
• Projects from initial design through construction

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of Plumbing and/or Fire Protection design experience
• Strong MEP consulting engineering background
• Experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for buildings
• Revit and AutoCAD experience
• Strong understanding of NYC building codes and applicable NFPA standards
• Ability to independently handle design responsibilities and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• EIT or PE is a plus

The Opportunity

• $120,000–$140,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
