About this opportunity

ABOUT SPIDR

Spider Design, Inc. (Spidr) has been delivering full-service digital marketing solutions to large, global manufacturing clients for nearly 25 years. From our office in Aurora, IL, our small, focused team manages paid advertising, content publishing, creative production, websites, and analytics that our clients depend on for their daily operations. We stay small on purpose: everyone here does real work for real clients, every day.

THE ROLE

We are hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist with the capability to work across four areas: executing email marketing, managing and publishing content in enterprise content management systems, producing digital creative, and running paid advertising campaigns. You will not be siloed into one lane. On any given day you might QA an email send, publish a product page, build a set of display ads, and adjust pacing on a search campaign.

You will work alongside a team of account, media, and development specialists, with direct exposure to enterprise-scale client work from day one. This is a full-time, on-site position at our office in Aurora, IL.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Email marketing

  • Collaborate with client teams on nurture and trigger-based email campaigns, from template updates through execution
  • Build, proof, and QA-test emails across platforms, devices, and settings (including dark mode), then route proofs for client review and schedule approved sends
  • Evaluate end-to-end email performance using in-platform send data and UTM-tagged GA4 traffic, and report results with recommendations for ongoing improvement

Content management and publishing

  • Publish marketing content within an enterprise CMS
  • Evaluate incoming content for accuracy and formatting consistency, and determine how it fits into the existing site architecture
  • Maintain taxonomy, navigation, metadata, and on-site search so users can quickly find what they need
  • Coordinate with internal team members and brand stakeholders to clarify requirements, gather missing assets, and move requests through to completion
  • Conduct ongoing content audits, inventory, and gap analysis

Design and creative production

  • Produce digital ad creative, social graphics, and landing page assets, primarily in Canva
  • Adapt brand-supplied creative across sizes, formats, and channels while staying within client brand standards
  • Improve the presentation of published content using HTML and CSS

Paid advertising

  • Build, launch, and monitor search, display, and paid social campaigns in Google Ads and Meta
  • Track budgets and pacing across multiple accounts and flag issues early
  • Report campaign and site performance using GA4 and Looker Studio, and recommend optimizations based on what the data shows

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Must be local and willing to work full-time, in person from our Aurora, IL office
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience; agency experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated work across email marketing, content publishing, design production, and paid media. You do not need to be an expert in all four, but you should be strong in at least two and conversant in the others
  • Experience building, testing, and scheduling campaigns in an email marketing platform; Marketo is a plus
  • Experience publishing in a content management system; enterprise-level platforms are a plus
  • Certified in Google Ads or Meta advertising, with the other certification earned within your first 90 days; hands-on experience in both platforms
  • Ability to read and edit HTML and CSS
  • A portfolio or work samples that show your design ability
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity across clients and meet deadlines
  • Natural curiosity and a drive to find creative solutions to problems

Nice to have

  • Sitecore or another enterprise-level CMS
  • Data Studio dashboard experience
  • Python, JavaScript
  • Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
  • Experience with multi-brand, B2B2C, or dealer-network marketing
  • Monday.com or similar project management tools

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $58,000 to $72,000, depending on experience.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • IRA with company match of 100% up to 3% of compensation
  • 12 paid holidays, including a floating holiday you choose
  • Paid time off (one week accrued in your first year, two weeks or more each year after)

We are not able to offer remote work or relocation assistance.

  • This is a full-time, on-site position at our office in Aurora, IL. We are prioritizing candidates who live within a 30-minute drive of our office, so please ensure your resume includes your current city.
