About this opportunity

SENIOR PRODUCT ENGINEER (FULL STACK) | Paid contract

Build software that helps people turn AI evaluation evidence into decisions they can explain and act on.

Syntony works across AI evaluation, security, and governance. We’re hiring a Senior Product Engineer to develop GovTune AI and Resonance, spanning product interfaces, APIs, and data models.

The work involves consequential product questions: how to make complex evidence understandable, preserve the history behind a finding, support human review, and connect identified risks to responsible teams and follow-up. You’ll translate those requirements into dependable software.

What you’ll do

  • Build GovTune AI workflows connecting evaluation traces to draft findings, controls, and human review.
  • Develop Resonance interfaces linking attack paths to test evidence, responsible teams, responses, and retesting.
  • Design APIs and data models that preserve the context and history of reviewed records.
  • Implement accessible interfaces, reliable permission checks, and robust import and export flows.
  • Diagnose production issues and improve existing software.
  • Write tests, review implementation decisions, and maintain documentation that supports future development.

What you’ll bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (Master's degree in software engineering, ML engineering, or a related field preferred).
  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping and maintaining production web applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases.
  • Sound judgment about data integrity, access controls, accessibility, and interface design.
  • The ability to clarify requirements with technical and nontechnical users and translate them into manageable implementation plans.
  • Experience making architectural decisions and explaining their tradeoffs.
  • Clear written communication and work samples that demonstrate your contribution.

This role suits someone who enjoys taking a complex workflow from requirements through implementation and making it clear, reliable, and useful.
