Public Relations Account Supervisor

Parasol is an integrated brand marketing, public relations and communications agency specializing in luxury lifestyle, travel and hospitality. Our high-profile client portfolio is growing with an exciting opening for an Account Supervisor to join the team in our office in New York City.

We are seeking an intelligent, enthusiastic and hard-working candidate with excellent communication and organization skills, and a strong attention to detail. Applicants must be proactive, independent workers; have the ability to multitask, prioritize a to-do list, and organize larger projects; and excel when faced with a challenge. Candidates should be self-starters who can work within an intimate team environment, possess excellent writing skills and have an interest in travel, food and wine and luxury lifestyle PR.

Candidates must have previous agency experience in luxury hospitality, food and wine.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

•  Act as key client contact

•  Build and manage strategic PR and marketing programs for clients

•  Direct client strategy and manage client activity

•  Develop/maintain strong relationships with key media and other key influencers

•  Write compelling content for PR materials, including creative pitch plans and unique story angles

•  Secure consistent and quality media placements 

•  Develop and participate in new business proposal writing and pitches, help secure new business

•  Work successfully in a fast paced, high-energy environment

•  Manage and mentor team members and other PR/Marketing resources and partners

•  Domestic/International travel

Requirements:

•  Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience

•  6-8 years in public relations/marketing (Must have agency and hotel/travel/tourism experience)

•  Proven track record of success at Agency or Company

•  Experience managing other team members such as AE’s, AAE’s, AC’s, interns or freelancers

•  Superb written and verbal communication skills

•  Strong network of established media contacts

•  Strong client management skills

•  Excellent organizational skills, proactive, and meet deadlines

•  Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, results-oriented environment

•  Team oriented and ability to take the lead on relevant projects

•  Resourceful and well-connected

•  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint, Cision, etc.
