Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full monthly financial close process—including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis—to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting.
  • Direct consolidation activities across multiple business units or subsidiaries, ensuring GAAP compliance and proper intercompany elimination entries.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and supporting schedules.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of five accounting professionals, overseeing workflow, performance management, and ongoing training.
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including chart of accounts management, reconciliation oversight, and strong internal controls to support audit readiness.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.
  • Partner with executive leadership on annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision‑making.
  • Identify, implement, and optimize process improvements and system enhancements, including automation and technology upgrades to improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • Midtown NYC on site 4-5 days a week required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles within a entertainment based industry.
  • Experience working with NetSuite or comparable mid‑market ERP systems, including month‑end close workflows and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively across departments, and thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.
