Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Roselle, IL (100% Onsite)

$90,000-$105,000 Base + Discretionary Bonus

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role offering exposure to financial reporting, business partnering, strategic planning, process improvements, and acquisition activities.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Financial Analysis & Business Partnering

• Analyze financial results and prepare variance reporting
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvements
• Provide financial insights and support decision-making across the organization

Planning & Strategic Initiatives

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Partner with finance leadership on acquisition due diligence and integration efforts
• Assist with special projects and strategic growth initiatives

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Coordinate external audits and tax-related activities
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
• Recommend enhancements to accounting processes, systems, and reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred
• Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
