Investment Operations & Systems Analyst

We are currently seeking candidates for an Investment Operations & Systems Analyst position with a highly successful investment management firm based in Boston, MA. The Investment Operations & Systems Analyst will support portfolio accounting systems, troubleshoot operational issues, and assist investment teams with trade processing and security data management. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of investment operations or portfolio accounting experience, along with Bloomberg, SQL, and fixed income knowledge.

This is a 4-month contract-to-hire opportunity paying $50–$55/hour, with conversion to a permanent position targeted for March 2027. Upon conversion, the position offers a $100K base salary plus a bonus. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Support portfolio accounting systems and resolve daily operational issues.
• Investigate trade exceptions, settlement discrepancies, and data integrity issues.
• Maintain security master data and research fixed income securities using Bloomberg.
• Assist with daily trade processing and reconciliation across investment platforms.
• Utilize SQL to retrieve, analyze, and update investment data.
• Partner with trading, portfolio accounting, operations, and technology teams to resolve system issues.
• Support corporate actions, investment reporting, and related operational workflows.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in investment operations, portfolio accounting, trade support, or related financial services functions.
• Experience within investment management, asset management, fund administration, or custody operations.
• Strong understanding of fixed income securities and investment accounting concepts.
• Hands-on Bloomberg experience, including security research and data maintenance.
• Basic to intermediate SQL proficiency, including queries, joins, inserts, updates, and deletes.
• Experience troubleshooting investment applications and resolving operational discrepancies.
• Familiarity with security master data, trade settlements, or corporate actions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
