About this opportunity

Passive Income Pilots — Head of Growth & Executive Producer

About Passive Income Pilots:

Passive Income Pilots (PIP) is a leading podcast (with a raving community base) built for airline pilots who want to take control of their finances, reduce taxes, and build wealth outside the cockpit.

The podcast is the centerpiece of a growing ecosystem: the popular show, a live conference (our first event was held in Las Vegas in Oct 2026), an engaged listener community, a Facebook group, and a network of referral and affiliate partners who serve pilots.

The show has incredible traction; what it lacks is one person whose full-time job is to ensure it delivers its foundational product consistently, and who can bring the energy and expertise to fully develop its potential. Both hosts, Tait Duryea and Ryan Gibson are executives who run their separate and respective companies in addition to hosting Passive Income Pilots.

The role:

You will own the brand: the podcast, the content, the live events, the partnerships and the community. You run the content flywheel end to end, keep the editing team on schedule, plan our live events, and bring in new partners and revenue.

The mandate: take control of the content production, grow the listener base, gain deeper market penetration across the airline industry, and expand the ecosystem to something every pilot in America can't ignore.

What you'll own

1. Show production and guest pipeline

  • Run the recording calendar: "You're recording Wednesday with X. Come prepared to talk about Y."
  • Lead a standing content meeting with the hosts to generate episode ideas, then turn those ideas into booked guests.
  • Source, pitch, book and prep guests.
  • Match guests and topics to what listeners actually want, using download data, comments, surveys and community feedback.
  • Manage the editing team: set deadlines, give notes, enforce quality, and keep the release schedule on time. You don't edit, you direct.

2. Content flywheel and social media

  • Own every social channel: strategy, calendar, posting and engagement.
  • Turn each episode into clips, quotes, newsletters and posts that drive listeners back to the show.
  • Track what works and double down. Retire what doesn't.

3. Live events and conference

  • Plan and run PIP conferences and events: venue, budget, agenda, speakers, sponsors, registration, vendors, merchandise and run-of-show.
  • Build the speaker lineup around what the audience wants to learn, and coordinate with speakers on content.
  • Turn each event into a content and community engine before, during and after. We want to reach this level of conference design and professionalism: https://www.limitlessexpo.com

4. Partnerships, sales and business development

  • Understand our existing referral and affiliate partners deeply: what they offer, how they perform, and how we're paid.
  • Develop new affiliate relationships, revenue shares and sponsorships.
  • Sell conference sponsorships and other partner placements.
  • Leverage aviation media and industry groups to grow our reach across the airline industry.

5. Marketing and design

  • Design outreach and marketing materials: one-pagers, partner decks, event collateral, social graphics and ads.
  • Run campaigns that grow listenership, event attendance and community membership.
  • Keep the PIP brand consistent across every channel.

What this role is not

  • Not an editor. We have an editing team. You manage their output and deadlines; you don't cut audio or video.
  • Not a coordinator waiting for instructions. You to tell us what we're doing next, not the other way around.

What success looks like:

First 90 days

  • You run the recording calendar and the weekly content meeting. The hosts show up prepared because you told them what to prepare.
  • A guest pipeline at least 6 weeks deep, booked and briefed.
  • Editing turnaround is predictable and episodes release on schedule.
  • Every episode ships with a social and clip package.
  • You know every existing referral partner, how it performs, and where the upside is.
  • A plan and budget for the next live event.

First 12 months

  • Downloads and subscribers up 100% from the baseline we set at your start date.
  • New affiliate or revenue-share partners signed: 6.
  • Partner revenue up by at least 50%.
  • Next conference delivered on budget, with attendance of 350+.
  • Measurable reach inside new airlines, bases and pilot groups we don't reach today.

What we'll measure: downloads, subscribers, social reach and engagement, event attendance and revenue, partner revenue, and new partners signed.

Who we're looking for:

Required

  • Has planned and run conferences or live events end to end, from venue contract to post-event follow-up.
  • Professional background in journalism, PR, marketing or events.
  • Proven ability to grow an audience: a show, publication, brand or community, with numbers to back it up.
  • Business development or sales experience: you've negotiated partnerships, sponsorships or revenue shares.
  • Hands-on design ability: you can produce polished marketing materials yourself (Canva, Adobe or similar), and you can direct a marketing team.
  • Comfortable managing contractors and holding them to deadlines.

Strongly preferred

  • Podcast or media production experience.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts like real estate investing, trust and estate planning, asset protection structures, tax planning etc.
  • Familiarity with the airline industry or pilot culture. A pilot, or someone close to the profession, is a plus.
  • Experience with affiliate programs, referral tracking or sponsorship sales.
  • Working knowledge of personal finance or real estate investing topics.

How you work:

  • Self-directed. You set the agenda and drive it without being chased.
  • Organized and relentless on follow-up. You crack the whip kindly but firmly.
  • Curious about the audience. You read the comments and talk to listeners.
  • A connector. You like getting people on the phone and making deals happen.
  • A strong writer who can pitch a guest, brief a host and sell a sponsor.

The details:

  • Reports to: Ryan Gibson and Tait Duryea
  • Location: Remote, United States. Travel for live events and partner meetings.
  • Type: Contractor
  • Compensation: $65-105k based on experience, plus performance incentives tied to listener growth, partner revenue and event results.

We look forward to speaking with you!
