Human Resources Director

Our client located in Chicago, IL (60626) is seeking an HR Director.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop HR Managers, Generalists, Specialists, Student Workers and support staff.
• Will be the right hand person to the CHRO along with serving as an HRBP to a group of 200-300 employees.
• Manage 5-6 HR Managers and an HR Generalist.
• Lead and support HR Managers in employee relations, investigations, grievance resolution, and conflict management for unionized and non-unionized staff, assuming direct responsibility as needed.
• Promote inclusive recruitment and retention practices, jumping in to help with recruiting when needed.
• Oversee HR analytics, reporting and performance measurement.
• ADA Claim Management.
• Work on ad hoc projects and employee engagement as needed.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5 years of supervisor experience and ADA claim management.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Previous experience working within higher education is highly desired, but similar industry experience will be considered.

Salary is $150-165K DOE, 100% onsite, and some local travel involved when needed.
