Procurement Specialist – Phoenix, AZ

Intertec Engineering a full-service Aerospace, and Mechanical Engineering firm supporting numerous OEM’s as well as DOW customers is seeking 2 Procurement Specialist’s to support one of our local premier Aerospace clients.

This will be a long-term hourly contract position, and although the work will mainly be remote, we prefer Local (AZ) candidates that will be available to make periodic visits to our facility in Tempe, as well as provide on-site support to our Phoenix client.

These Procurement professionals will need skills and experience in the following areas:

• Experience in managing Supply Chain quality, delivery and performance regarding Aerospace/Aircraft parts shortage.
• Working with cross-functional teams to resolve quality, engineering and performance issues.
• Ability to create and present metrics and support reports to suppliers, and management.
• Experienced in conducting Supplier Risk Assessments in Project Management, Supply Chain, Tooling, Quality, and Sub-tier Supplier performance.
• Ability to perform expertise in negotiating supplier contracts, and collaborating with various business stakeholders, procurement, and engineering teams to secure their requirements.
• Experience leading procurement, strategic sourcing, production planning, inventory management, and supplier performance in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Planning, assigning, and directing all procurement activities supporting aerospace manufacturing operations.
• Background in evaluating existing processes for procurement activities and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to conduct procurement negotiations and contract execution per FAR, and DFARS requirements.
