Clinical Assessor, Adolescent Behavioral Health

Antelope Recovery | Full-time | Remote

Antelope Recovery is a virtual intensive outpatient program providing clinical services to justice-involved and Medicaid-enrolled adolescents ages 11 to 18 across all 23 judicial districts in Colorado. The population served is high-risk and frequently marginalized, with many youth residing in rural communities and involved with multiple systems, including juvenile justice, child welfare, and behavioral health. Antelope Recovery seeks a Clinical Assessor to join a clinical team committed to rigorous, holistic assessment of this population.

Position Overview

The Clinical Assessor conducts level of care and specialty evaluations, including ASAM and CALOCUS-CASII assessments, for youth referred by probation, courts, families, and community partners. The role requires the capacity to work efficiently while maintaining clinical depth, synthesizing complex psychosocial, legal, and systemic information into accurate and defensible recommendations.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Assessor completes comprehensive biopsychosocial and level of care assessments that account for the full context of each youth's circumstances, including trauma history, family functioning, substance use, mental health, and legal involvement. Evaluations result in written reports and recommendations suitable for review by probation officers, judicial officers, families, and treatment providers. The position requires close coordination with admissions and clinical staff to ensure timely placement in the appropriate level of care, as well as careful navigation of the court, probation, and Medicaid systems on behalf of each youth.

Qualifications

Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to identify and articulate case complexity across overlapping systems. Prior experience conducting clinical evaluations or assessments is strongly preferred, and experience with justice-involved or system-involved youth is highly valued. Licensed clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC) and pre-licensed clinicians actively pursuing licensure are encouraged to apply. Spanish fluency is preferred.

Compensation

$60,000 to $80,000 annually, commensurate with licensure, evaluation volume, and experience. All incoming clinicians complete an initial 60-day contract period prior to conversion to W-2 employment.

This position is fully remote.
