About this opportunity
Interior Design Intern (Part-Time, In-Person) – Long Lake, MN
Randolph Interior Design is looking for an Interior Design Intern to join us 2–3 days a week, scheduled around your classes. This role is ideal for a student majoring in interior design in their final year who wants a career in high-end residential design. Two of our current full-time designers started here as interns.
What you’ll do
You’ll start with the day-to-day work that keeps a design studio running: sample library organization and returns, assist with client meetings prep and proposals, photoshoot prep, calendar coordination, office organization, technical project drawings and project coordination. As you grow, your responsibilities will grow too. You’ll see every part of our residential design business and learn our full operations process from start to finish.
What we’re looking for
- Currently enrolled in an interior design program, with at least one year completed (final-year students preferred)
- Enjoys working with people
- Eager to learn and open to coaching
- Takes initiative without waiting to be told
- Thinks quickly and stays calm in a fast-paced environment
- Communicates clearly and confidently with homeowners, builders, subcontractors, and vendors
- Proficient in Sketchup, Revit or similar
