Finance Manager

We are partnering with a company that is hiring a Finance Manager to lead budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and systems improvement for a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This role is a key leadership position responsible for both strategic financial planning and day-to-day financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and long-term financial planning
• Monitor financial results, cash flow, and monthly budget reporting
• Partner with leadership on departmental, program, and event budgets
• Prepare reports and materials for board finance leadership
• Oversee audit preparation, tax support, and required state and regulatory filings
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll entries, reconciliations, and cash management
• Strengthen internal controls, financial procedures, and documentation
• Improve and implement financial systems, workflows, and payment tools
• Supervise operational support functions, vendor management, and related compliance processes
• Partner across teams to support accurate grant reporting and restricted fund tracking

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial operations leadership
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP and core accounting practices
• Strong attention to detail, organization, discretion, and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and improve systems in a growing environment
