Senior Network Manager

Primary Location: Chicago, IL

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Senior Network Manager for our premier client in Chicago, IL.

Education and Experience:

• Experience managing support/maintenance agreements and outside service providers
• Experience working with a Security Operations Center
• 4-year college degree in a related field and/or relevant professional experience
• 7 years of managing experience leading IT network engineering teams
• 10 years of Technical Operations, Engineering & Implementation, and Security Engineering experience
  
  

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of Cybersecurity operations

• Strong knowledge of ITIL concepts. ITIL certification is a plus
• Strong client-focus skills with ability to recognize client requirements, assist client in achieving their goals, manage client expectations and consistently achieve high client satisfaction
• Strong organizational and management skills; ability to efficiently manage a variety of multiple concurrent projects simultaneously
• Experience with designing an ITSM system to manage incidents, problems, workflows and to collect metrics required for reporting, preferably on ServiceNow
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication, leadership ability, and teamwork.
  
  

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

Technical Operations

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of critical network incidents.
• Provide hands-on support during major outages, cybersecurity incidents, and high-priority operational events.
• Participate in network configuration reviews and oversee implementation of complex network changes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve performance, capacity, and reliability issues.
  
  

Engineering & Implementation

• Design and implement switching, routing, wireless, network security, and cloud connectivity solutions.
• Lead technical deployments, migrations, upgrades, and integration projects.
• Develop and maintain network capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization strategies.
