About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading global media and commerce agency seeking an experienced Associate Director, Amazon Media & Commerce Strategy to lead Amazon advertising and commerce initiatives for a major consumer brand.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise across Amazon Sponsored Ads and DSP with a strong understanding of commercial strategy, category growth, and business performance.

While hands-on platform knowledge is essential, this is not a purely execution-focused position. We are looking for a strategic thinker who can translate media performance into actionable recommendations that drive broader brand and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Amazon media strategy across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Amazon DSP.
• Audit and evaluate campaign performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Develop integrated Search and DSP strategies aligned with client business objectives.
• Drive category growth through media investment planning, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates, product visibility, and overall retail performance.
• Connect Amazon advertising performance to broader ecommerce, brand, and revenue objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop integrated commerce and media strategies.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, presenting insights, recommendations, and growth opportunities.
• Oversee campaign performance and ensure media investments deliver measurable business impact.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong experience in Amazon retail media, ecommerce, or commerce strategy, ideally within an agency or consulting environment.
• Advanced knowledge of both Amazon Sponsored Ads/Search and Amazon DSP.
• Sufficient hands-on platform experience to confidently audit, troubleshoot, and diagnose campaign performance.
• Demonstrated ability to develop commercial strategies that extend beyond media execution.
• Experience with forecasting, budget allocation, investment planning, and category growth.
• Strong understanding of Amazon retail fundamentals, including conversion optimization, product visibility, and sales performance.
• Ability to connect media KPIs to broader commercial and brand objectives.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client leadership skills.
• Comfortable operating at the Associate Director level, balancing strategic oversight with technical expertise.
