About this opportunity
Your clients chose you. Your next firm needs to make sense for them, too.
You have built relationships, earned repeat instructions and developed a practice clients trust. A lateral move should give that practice room to grow.
A Chicago law firm is seeking a defense litigation partner with at least nine years of relevant experience, a portable book of business and established insurer or corporate client relationships.
Experience may include general liability, professional liability, construction, product liability or related civil defense work. Illinois admission is required.
The discussion will centre on what your practice needs next: associate support, capacity for larger matters, complementary expertise, succession planning or support for developing business.
The economics deserve equal attention. Compensation, origination credit, billing rates, staffing costs and conflicts all belong in the conversation early.
After all, a partner move should make sense on a spreadsheet as well as over lunch.
