About this opportunity
You probably didn’t go to law school for the timesheets.
There was likely something about the argument. Finding the fact everyone else missed. Asking the question that changes a deposition. Giving a client a clear answer when the situation is anything but clear.
A Chicago law firm is seeking a defense litigation associate who wants to keep developing those skills while taking meaningful responsibility for cases.
The role involves civil defense matters through discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings and trial preparation. Experience in general liability, construction, professional liability or product liability would be relevant.
Candidates should have 3 to 7 years of relevant litigation experience, strong writing skills and Illinois admission.
If you are considering a move, the conversation should start with what would make it worthwhile: the cases, the responsibility, the people and the route forward.
