Allegiance Group is partnering with a well-established mechanical contractor to recruit an experienced HVAC Service Dispatcher for their growing team.

Our client is a mechanical contractor in Farmingdale specializing in commercial and high-rise residential projects across Long Island. They're looking for an organised HVAC Dispatcher to coordinate service calls, support field technicians, and keep customers informed throughout the day.

You'll manage the daily schedule, match technicians to service needs, and respond to changing priorities. This is a hands-on role for someone who communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, and can keep several tasks moving at once.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch HVAC technicians to service calls.
• Prioritise urgent requests and adjust schedules as needed.
• Gather job details and provide technicians with clear service information.
• Track technician locations, availability, and job progress.
• Keep customers updated on appointment times and service status.
• Communicate with technicians, customers, and internal teams throughout the day.
• Record service requests, work orders, and job updates accurately.
• Monitor open calls and follow up to help ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate parts, equipment, or follow-up visits when required.
• Support daily service operations and help resolve scheduling issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in HVAC dispatch, service coordination, or a similar role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a busy schedule and respond to changing priorities.
• Comfortable communicating with field technicians and customers by phone and email.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience using dispatch or service management software is a plus.
• Knowledge of HVAC service work is an advantage.
