Design Engineer

Position Description:

NPower is currently looking for multiple remote Design Engineers to support various sites. We currently have openings for Calvert Cliffs (MD), LaSalle (IL), and Limerick (PA). Details below:

Position Details:

Job Title: Design Engineers (Structural, I&C, Electrical)

Location: REMOTE; Supporting Calvert Cliffs (MD)

Start Date: Now to April 2027

Overview:

• Calvert Cliffs is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to support various modification related projects for the site. They are looking for Electrical, Mechanical, Structural and I&C Design Engineers

Qualifications:

• A B.E/B.S in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 yrs experience
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements
• Experience with large electrical modifications including generators, excitors, relays, switchyard at a nuclear plant.
• Prior nuclear design engineering experience and knowledge in industry standard design procedures (IP-ENG-001 etc).
• Experience with single line, wiring schematics, relay and sizing calculations and analysis by details modeling of software (ETAP), preparation of design analysis and calculations
• Prior Constellation experience a plus

Job Title: Design Engineers (I&C, Electrical)

Location: REMOTE; Supporting LaSalle (IL)

Start Date: Now to December 2028 (w/ possible extension)

Overview:

• Develop engineering design packages for I&C system modifications.
• Perform engineering evaluations and technical analyses to support plant modifications and operational improvements.
• Support field walkdowns, design verification activities, testing, commissioning, and refueling outage work as required.
• Provide technical support during project implementation and resolve design-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, Nuclear, or other related engineering field) and PE License preferred.
• Experience performing I&C design engineering in a commercial nuclear power plant.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Ability to develop and review control system design packages.

Job Title: Design Engineers (Structural, I&C, Electrical)

Location: REMOTE; Supporting Limerick (PA)

Start Date: 11/2/26 to End of Project (estimated 2031)

Overview:

The engineer will work with Extended Power Uprate (EPU) project teams to develop and support engineering documentation, technical evaluations, licensing activities, and other engineering tasks associated with the project. The position may be performed remotely, although candidates available to work onsite at Limerick are preferred.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Engineering experience in nuclear
• Bachelors Degree or higher in an Engineering field
• Experience performing activities in support of nuclear plant design

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPU experience
• Measurement Uncertainty Recapture (MUR) experience
• Boiling Water Reactor experience
• Experience in supporting License Amendment Requests (LARs)
• Previous Limerick or Constellation experience
• 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations or screenings
